The DSA (Driver Status Alarm), also called DDAW (Driver Drowsiness & Alertness Warning), is a system that uses AI (Artificial Intelligence) to report to the Driver possible states of distraction from driving such as: Sleep, Tiredness, Cellphone use, cigarette consumption

Useful and effective for staying awake while driving and avoiding falling asleep which is very dangerous for yourself and your passengers.

REGULATION:
The European Union, on 11.27.2019, prepared the GSR (Genearl Safety Regulation): see Regulation (EU) 2019/2144 . This regulation establishes rules for the safety of vulnerable road users.
The Art. 6 of the regulation, among the various safety devices for all categories of motor vehicles, establishes that they must be equipped with " d) advanced driver distraction warning ".

Art.19 establishes that the regulation becomes mandatory from 6.7.2022  (new approvals). From  7.7.2024  mandatory for new registrations.
The technical specifications for the practical application of this regulation are:

WHAT IS DSA - tiredness detector
The DSA (Driver Status Alarm) is a modern system for detecting and reporting elements that distract the
Driver from driving. Tiredness sensor, anti-drowsiness sensor.

WHAT IS THE DSA FOR?
The DSA is useful for PREVENTING and reducing possible accidents, even very serious ones, for the driver and passengers:

– Detection of tiredness while driving (sleep, closing eyes)
– Distraction of gaze from the road
– Use of telephone while driving
– Smoking while driving
– Driver absent

The DSA is especially ideal for drivers of public transport: buses, coaches and for drivers who drive scheduled coaches with long-distance connections.
The alarm signals are signaled both visually on the 1.5" Mini Display and vocally with messages in Italian.

Voice alarm messages:
1. Fatigue alarm! Rest
2. Telephone use not permitted
3. Smoking is not permitted
4. Attention! Driver distraction
5. Alarm! No driver

Important:
to keep track of all events, the DSA must be paired with an MNVR video recorder : https://camositalia.it/categoria/digital-video-recorder/dvr-ip/ .
Other cameras can also be connected to the video recorder, for example for viewing the front of the road, blind spots, the rear or interiors. In this way the "Anti Sleep" system becomes truly effective in providing useful elements in the event of accidents or thefts.
